Fall Trends - Fall Fashion 2012

Ella Moss women's Hazel Long-Sleeve Dress
As the summer comes to a close and we turn to a new season, it is time to evaluate the new trends that will be heading our way. This year we see rich colors, luxe fabrics, and structured designs on the horizon.

Trend #1 - Green. This season, green makes its way back into our hearts and closets. The best part of this trend is that it is not just one shade of green, it is all of them! From emerald to olive, they are all welcome. So, sport it on your handbag, necklace, or blouse because this color will have you turning heads all season!

Trend #2 - Navy. This deep blue hue is said to be the new neutral. Designers say to pair it with black or a brighter color to explore the versatility of this stand-by color.

Trend #3 - Cherry Red. Makeup artists are splashing this color onto the lips of fashionistas everywhere. Reminiscent of the turning leaves outside, this bright red will add a subtle pop to your wardrobe.

Trend #4 - Leather Leggings. We have watched the evolution of the legging craze over the last couple of years with the reintroduction of the cotton legging and the invention of the jegging, but now we move onto a more edgy look with the leather adaptation. This style was previously one reserved for motorcyclists and hairband members, but today we see celebrities and housewives alike flocking to premier designers such a Gautier to get their hands on this hot style. Designers say to mix the skin-hugging pants with a loose fitting blouse to offset the tightness. This will give a refined touch to such a daring look.

Trend #5 - The Jacket. Every year a new style of outerwear sweeps us off of our feet and into its arms. What is this year's must-have anorak? It is a collard, button-down jacket. This look is simple, but speaks volumes with its high level of sophistication. It is perfect to wear with a skirt and blouse or to slip over a dress.

Trend #6 - The Smoking Slipper. Not everyone is into high heels 24/7 and for the past few years the alternative has been ballet flats. Well, not this year! We introduce to you the smoking slipper. It is a fun way to be comfy and trendy at the same time. The best part of these gems is that they look great in a neutral so they can be paired with several outfits or they can sass up your threads with a fun print like leopard.

Trend #7 - Boy Style. Fashionistas are letting their inner tough girl out by donning traditionally male pieces such as vests, blazers, and button-down blouses. This masculine attire will help your fashion pack a punch.

Trend #8 - Brooches. To soften the tough tone of the boyish garb a little, ladies are adorning themselves with brooches. Yes, I said brooches, as in more than one. Multiples of the glittering accessory at once are the way to go this fall. More is better is the recurring theme that can be seen on fashionistas across the globe.

Trend #9 - Digital Prints. This trend is giving a futuristic look to previously traditional foundations. Black and white color blocking is the hot new look for skirts, and digital prints bursting with color are garnishing pants and dresses.

Trend #10 - Structured Handbags. Distinct lines and a polished appearance is the look for your designer handbag to have this fall. Prada, YSL, Fendi, and Valentino are said to be the go-to fashion houses that will be delivering this season's "it" bags. Since these designers are known to have expensive items, it can be hard for the budget conscious fashionista to get her hands on one. However, online stores such as Queen Bee of Beverly Hills offers designer handbags at a discount making it easier for you to keep up with the trends this season.
Online since 2002, Queen Bee Designer Handbags has been a leading online designer boutique, offering authentic European discount designer handbags luggage, wallets and accessories. We sell authentic discount designer accessories from Gucci, Dior, YSL and Fendi.

2010 Fall Fashion Fever - Best Trends For Women Leaders

Professional businesswomen aspiring to step up their images and make their personal brands shine under the leadership spotlight need to understand which fashion trends are appropriate for the business environment - and how to incorporate them into ensembles that convey professional expertise. Do that and your image will help you become a recognized celebrity within your particular profession or industry.

I never advise my top-level clients to invest in fads for their working wardrobes, but instead I recommend classic-modern styles that are simultaneously contemporary and timeless. But as a senior level retail executive and your professional image and brand strategist, I've done all the research for you! Using my latest trend report you can easily navigate your way through the department store to select your fall wardrobe while saving both time and money. I'll show you how to invest in what works for your personal brand to keep you looking unique, innovative, and contemporary. This season is all about timeless pieces, structured sophisticated silhouettes, and exquisite fabrics and shape accessories that give your nine-to-five look a memorable signature that spells success and charisma.

I reveal a dozen top new trends that communicate professionalism for every woman leader and high achiever. No matter what type of work environment you find yourself in - from formal to business casual or even ultra casual - you can capture the essence of these trends and incorporate that style into your business wardrobe to look outstanding as you enhance your personal brand and professional reputation.

Fall Fashion Trends to Celebrate Your Personal Brand

It's important to realize that a contemporary wardrobe is like a uniform or an actor's costume. What you wear and how you wear it is definitely an extension of your professional brand and every day your wardrobe broadcasts messages to others over the business airwaves. Your clothes speak to your level of inner confidence, express your unique style, and symbolize your expertise and character. One of the most common complaints I hear from clients before they work with me is that they look like everyone else in the same suit or cookie cutter outfit. But I know that they simply lack the knowledge of how to leverage fashion trends - not fads - to make them unique and memorable so they will stand out from competitors in a dynamic and positive way. Your head to toe look tells the story of your brand through a visual narrative. So it's important that the story you are telling is one that others will read as an engaging and convincing "Celebrity with Credibility" news flash.

Fall Fashion - Into Neutral Colors with Grey and Camel

This season no professional can go wrong wearing shades of rich heather grey or camel in their business suits, jackets, skirts, pants, dress coats, and accessories. Look to incorporate these two tones with a suede pump, a quilted Chanel bag, or in monochromatic tones to communicate you're a classic-elegant woman. I love the streamlined silhouette look that is accomplished by dressing in monochromatic tones of either grey or camel from head to toe. Wear the same basic tones in a wool coat, sweater, trousers, belt, and shoes or boots for those business casual days. But be sure to add some rich texture to this look - otherwise it can appear boring. A suede belt or shoes would easily do the trick. You can also look to mix and match these two tones of camel and grey together. With a charcoal grey suit, for instance, opt for a camel and grey print silk blouse that adds some feminine interest to your power suit.

Who Wears the Pants Now?

This season, it's all about the pant suit and you will see many styles resembling the menswear silhouettes from yesteryear. But it takes a real lady to enhance the look with a few strategically powerful feminine details. Do that and you will dramatically modernize your look from head to head - and you'll be ready to compete successfully while going toe-to-toe with male counterparts in any business setting. A great feminine blouse or shoes is one simple but effective way to add ladylike style and grace to the design profile of the traditional men's uniform - the power suit.

The Statement Jacket - Your Quintessential Go-To Item

Every professional woman knows that when she wants to gracefully glide up the corporate ladder or attract more elite clientele, a few statement jackets will empower her work wardrobe. This season the statement jacket is about sophisticated, structured silhouettes made out of exquisite fabrics with a hint of texture like brocade, tweed, boiled wool, tropical wool, or cotton. Anchor your wardrobe with modern styles like collarless, asymmetrical zip, peplum, 2-button, ruffle trim, or shawl collar styles. Every woman leader needs to exude trustworthiness, strength, and confidence - and statement jackets that you can coordinate with various professional skirts and pants to multiply your ensemble possibilities are the answer this fall.

Beautiful Feminine Details

You will see beautifully refined dressy blouses and shirts in fabrics like crepe, satin, sateen, silk georgette, metallic, and silk charmeuse this fall. So you can have the best of both worlds by powerfully showing your softer side. The fashion focus is on showing off the fine details of this season's blouses, high up on the neckline. Those include professional wear styles that have, for instance, a draped cowl neckline, a subtle neck chain detail, ruffles on collars and down through the torso, pin tucking details, small neck ties, and pleated round necklines.

The "It Dress" Refined for Fall

One great advantage that women leaders have that our male colleagues don't is the flexibility to wear easy options like a great dress. This season the "It dress" styles are sheath dresses with either a split neck or a knot tie at the shoulder; dresses with any type of neckline details; solid dark neutral knit dresses; wrap style jersey knit dresses in an array of colorful prints; trench shirt dresses; Pointe knits with princess seams; belted sheath dresses, or simple styles with peplum details. All of the modern styles will be ladylike and nipped in at the waist, giving just the hint of a waistline. Shop for luxurious fabrics and unexpected prints - because when you only wear one item it needs to combine fine quality, texture, and detail to make it a stand-alone look you can wear to work.

The New Trousers

Pants this season will be sleek, long, and lean - with a menswear-inspired look in straight or pencil leg styles. That kind of design lets everything else on your upper torso do the talking and instantly helps to balance out your proportions. Once again you can't go wrong with colors like camel or grey to round out your wardrobe. There isn't a woman's body type on this earth that doesn't look fabulous in straight cut pants! I always advise my clients that if they ever find a pair of pants that fits their body type they should purchase them in numerous neutral colors to easily look polished in every business casual environment. With the new menswear styles be sure to wear a high heel because that will contribute a more feminine feel to those otherwise rather masculine fabrics and cuts.

Fuller Skirt Silhouettes

Look for skirts this season in luxurious fabrics and modern silhouettes. It's the return of old world glamour - similar to the secretary styles you see on the hit TV show Mad Men. Those fuller skirts from the 1950s are new again. The pencil skirt has an updated style too, and the flared hemline will make every leg shapelier and add some sway to your walk. Now I call that making a silently classy but memorable entrance!

Fall Fashion Tips - Fall 2012

Wrap Yourself in Sophistication

Give a warm welcome to the new statement outerwear. Coats for fall come in animal prints, brocade designs, suede, faux fur, and classic wool styles. The silhouettes will be stronger, with bolder shoulders and slimmer silhouettes to give you a refined sense of sophistication and elegance. If you work in a more business casual environment, you may want to try out one of the new cape coats that offer stylish fluidity when you wear them with a great straight cut trouser pant. It's the counterpoint to a streamlined silhouette, so remember that you need to wear that wide cape over a slimmer lower torso in order to keep your proportions balanced.

Animal Feline Style

Animal prints have become a classic print, and they are one way to jazz up your classic wardrobe items. Add a touch of an animal print in a handbag, shoe, silk blouse, scarf, or trench coat. These can be small statement pieces that add some interest but you will want to keep these to a minimum. Otherwise you can call too much attention to yourself with a clothing statement that has so much of the animal element in it that it becomes a little difficult to tame.

Ladylike Handbags

This year the handbag is back. It has a more structured look with architectural details and silhouettes and there is a perfect style for every lady. The bags of the season are: the drawstring bag - which is a throwback to the 1970s that resembles the long-handled bucket bag; the clutch style with sharp edges - to take you from day to night without missing a beat; and the smartly structured handbag - like, for example, the classic square bag with a large signature clasp (worn with a strap over the shoulder messenger style). That was a favorite of Jackie Onassis.

In tote bags you'll see an array of multi-handled carry-alls in alluring snakeskin. They come in tones that range from tomato red to warm cognac. Or you can opt for the color of the season by purchasing a grey suede tote bag that keeps you looking professional and also does double duty as the ideal travel bag.

Don't Just Talk the Talk but Walk the Walk

Walk the classic route that speaks volumes about your style by wearing the new pointy-toe heels or bold and colorful peep-toe pumps. Then downshift into my favorite - the kitten heel. This fall shoes will be in colorful tones, and that offers you a great way to quickly add a pop of color to your basic suit. If you are wearing a pantsuit and work in a more casual environment, then consider a suede shoe bootie to add some heel height, texture, and interest to your long, lean look. This season it will be a breeze to add variety to all your casual looks with the wide selection of boot styles that are coming to stores for fall.

Accessory Magic

One of the wisest investments this season is pearls - either layered or worn alone. You'll continue to see statement necklaces in multiple strands this season but be cautious. You don't want your necklace to upstage your presence, so try to keep it simple and elegant. A textured cuff is also a great way to add some jewelry and intrigue to your solid work dress.

Follow these trend tips and fall fashion guidelines and you can save time and money shopping this season while also adding some noticeable innovation and unique style to your core wardrobe. Knowing what to buy - and how to incorporate it into your overall image and branding strategy - is not just fun but it can also pay huge dividends on your clothing investment, both personally and professionally. You'll feel better, look wonderful, and will always stand out above your peers and competitors in a way that invites greater success.

Office Inspired Fall Fashion Trends - Fall 2012

These Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collections were something much more than ready to wear. They were an identity founded in strength and power. They were an embodiment of femininity, heroism, and leadership. The garments constructed were that of the prominent, self-sufficient businesswoman, and the sexy, intelligent and fashion aware secretary. Several Fall 2012 collections set a theme for the basis of business attire: fierce, predatorial, ancient and epic. There was either an air of inherent sophistication or a slouchy sweatshirt-turned-mogul perspective (Julien David). There was a warrior inspired suit or a seductress's flouncy renaissance ruffles. There was a contemporary Wonder Woman or an 80's pop iconic Super Model. Color wise, a consistency of whites, blacks, grays with spurts of neon, gold, and burnt siennas reigned. Overall, there was a feeling of the solemnity and effervescence of woman as ruler.

An overarching theme of the revived and modernized warrior, through examples founded in Renaissance Knights, Vikings, Samurai, and Goddesses was present. All ladies portrayed as feminine Olympians. Rick Owens implored masks cut like armor from cloth, as a gothic or Dark Ages revival, as well as Nicolas Andreas Taralis did with his Orthodoxian Monastery-esc cloaks and shrouds. Gareth Pugh and Mugler juxtaposed Scandinavian tundric sheathes of furs and loin cloths with heavy 80's-type shoulder pads and power slacks. Ann Dememulemeester created her own race of electric blue cockatiel huntresses, and Acne reinserted the Obi constricted, but centered and powerful female Samurai. Jean-Paul Gaultier lifted the streets to the elite, with piercings, leather and metal and made it high fashion business attire.

Viktor and Rolf took a turn along with Carven and Rochas going uber-girly, with short-skirted and scalloped satin. They engrossed a mix of Klimt's gold and shining bric-a-brac along with Hieronymus Bosch's fire and brimstone hell and earth. These themes gave way to the woman as a complete encapsulant of the world. The Tree of Life and Eve and Earth. Viktor and Rolf gave flecs of black and gold and sienna and everything opulent, warm and seductive. All three gave a feeling of the Tuscan Middle Ages and produced a basis for which today's secretary or Joan of Arcian can aspire.

On the other side of this seriousness and courageousness is the fun and comic modern day super hero! 3.1 Phillip Lim started off in Pre-Fall with the Pow!'s and Kaboom!'s and Bam!'s and handed us over to Ann Dello Russo's neon power suits and all of Fashion Week's primary colors. Women are representing themselves as subconscious cultural heroines. Junya Watanabe entranced us with a fashion-forward cultural heritage of the superhero in a grungy, helmeted, and relaxed way; with an array of colorful flame and flaxen-haired models paired with wools and velvets and tweeds, these superheroes were that of a more subdued and piercing-eyed reality. The conclusion is that these more recent shows are definitely not the club kid or disco clothing like some of the trends seen from the Londoner's like Meadham Kirchoff, but that of a more classic and solemn hero based set.

There is a feeling of pride and conquer. There are veils and armor and capes and crowns. These women are of the professional fashion era: the golden goddess goes to work and rules an empire. The sex-bomb-turned-secretary works her charm and plaid and manipulates her boss. The Bourchra Jarrar motorcyclist meets 80's shoulders meets Harvard business chick rides out and meets the rest of her ladies-of-the-round table and battles. These are the women of now. The neo-classical-renaissance-heroine-badasses of the workplace.

This season has given many former faux pas the okay and raised the urban outlook to a chic higher premise. Karlie Kloss finally opened in the Anthony Vaccarello show and struck a chord with the modern business girls in us all, and the alternative style became a workplace necessity. Girls can now rip up t-shirts and pair them with blazers and studded boots, hot pink cocktail dresses with flaming red hair, and over-sized sweatshirts with pencil skirts and nose-rings. All hail Fall 2012's new outlook on professionalism.

Which Sophisticated Fall 2012 Styles Will Work Best With Your Hair Extensions?

Winter Whites

Whether the trendy fall look you want to create is thick and textured or sleek and refined, it's simple to incorporate hair extensions into the fabulous runway or red carpet style you want to capture. For example, if you can't commit to edgy, roughly-chopped bangs but want to test the style out, a clip-on extension can help you create the one-time look. Your stick-straight hair may not wave, but curled or braided extensions can help you achieve looks invoking laid-back elegance. Long hair lengths are back in style, and bonded extensions can give your shorter hair a perceived boost. Popular hairstyles for fall incorporate a variety of textures, lengths, and layers, but both clip-on hair extensions and bonded extensions made from human hair can be manipulated in infinite ways to achieve whichever hairstyles you plan to model this autumn.

Styling with Clip-On Hair Extensions

Clip-on extensions are very useful to women who want to experiment with different styles before committing to a new hairdo, particularly a set length of hair. With clip-on extensions, you can naturally maintain a straight-cut bob with long front bangs at work, dash into a bathroom to add extensions, and reemerge with a side part and a layered, shoulder-length look to wear out on the town. If you choose to invest in clip-on extensions to satisfy your fall hairstyling needs, you can try out a unique style every day!

Try wearing a long, low ponytail for a classic "schoolgirl chic" effect. If you have short hair but want to fashion a smooth, silky ponytail, simply secure a long strand of clip-on extension hair to the back of your natural ponytail with a hair elastic or two. If you want to show you're really savvy about what's in style this fall, you can also slick back the hair framing your forehead, or wrap a thin tendril of hair around the elastic securing your ponytail.

You can add an edge to your look with uneven layers. A clip-in hair extension placed against your part can help you create a choppy, complex layering effect. Don't clip faux bangs over the front of your forehead next to a boring middle part. Instead, dramatically part your hair to the side before adding the bangs to your crown at an angle for a completely unique hairstyle.

Bouffant hairstyles will reemerge in the fashion world this fall. To get tall, artfully-teased hair, bonded extensions may be a good choice to add thickness and volume to your current look. If you currently have medium-length hair, however, you can also try buying a clip-on extension or some loose strands of extension hair to pin underneath your natural hair. This will lift your hair up to the height you desire.

Styling with Bonded Hair Extensions

You can easily style your hair into more complex long, curly, or voluminous hairdos this fall using bonded extensions. You can ask your stylist for tips when he or she puts in your human hair extensions, or visit a hair extension salon if you're struggling with a complicated style. Be sure to ask your stylist about the limits of your extensions before you leave the salon and venture into the crunchy autumn leaves.
Try curling your hair into rough waves, styling loose tendrils of hair in different directions for a relaxed yet decidedly demure look.

Grab an elastic and get creative by roping tendrils of hair into a feminine, laid-back loose bun. You can also try a more disordered take on the classic French twist by pinning up a twisted ponytail and letting strands fly free. These looser bun styles for fall may not require hairspray; if you don't have to wash the hairspray out, you can avoid the hassle of washing your hair and the attached extensions, and the damage you can cause by washing your hair too often.
If you are dreaming to have a hair that is strong and soft, healthy and versatile, choosing Ludis Charming Extensions is right for you.
Good news! Ludis hair extensions are now available for the first time in North America. Through Ludis Charming Instinct, you will be able to grab durable hair extensions that are made from 100% Remy Indian hair.

Fall 2012 - 5 Ways to be Effortlessly Trendy This Fall

Black and Blue

For this trend, all you need do is dig out that little black dress that every woman should have stowed away in her closet. Next, accessorize!! Go with navy blue bangles, necklaces, and earrings. I highly recommend choosing two of the three. For example, if you decide to do bangles, pair with navy blue earrings OR necklaces. Combining all three may result in a look that borderlines costume. If you don't fancy yourself as a costume jewelry enthusiast, enjoy the shoe/belt/shrug option. Again, choose two of the three in this category. The belt can work as your centerpiece; match either a structured shrug OR sexy shoes in navy blue to complete the look. Most black and blue outfits featured on the runway were structured or included geometric prints. Look for accessories that mimic these design effects.

Winter Whites

First of all, remember that there are different shades of white! There are ivories, creams, off whites, stark whites... the list truly can go on "forever". Layering of different shades may work in your favor if you prefer a look with a little more depth. As for myself, the idea of wearing a completely white outfit scares me, so I've interpreted the Winter White trend to be the following. Grab a white tank, velvet white ribbon, and a white knit sweater shrug that is constructed of chunky yarns. Thread the ribbon through the loops of your chosen bottom. In my case, this would be my dark wash jeans. Tie a bow off to the side for a truly holiday effect!

Military

Military inspired pieces have been featured in a few seasons now, presumably due to the unwavering support that designers have for our troops. Go ahead and purchase a classic military-inspired piece. If lacking ideas, I'd recommend anything with two rows of buttons running down the front. Otherwise, purchase a piece in a classic military hue like olive or navy blue. For example, you could purchase a racer-back tank in solid olive green and accessorize with gold, military-inspired jewelry. Military-inspired jewelry includes 5-point 3 dimensional stars, eagles, or anything that resembles a seal/medal. Steer clear of gun and grenade charms. The focus should not be vessels of violence, but the honor of serving our country.

Reptilian Prints

Reptile prints, as with all animal prints, can be quite tricky to incorporate into an outfit without looking tacky. For a classic look, go with natural tones. If you've never been completely comfortable rocking the "louder", more obvious reptile prints, opt for a monotone material in a black, nude, or white. Try it on! You may be unexpectedly surprised. The prints themselves are pretty busy, so choose a simple tank, belt, or shoes. Make this your statement piece and pair with items that are more subdued. Remember, less is more! Tip: a good reptile print is natural in color and has shading where appropriate (if not textured).

Golden Opulence/Baroque

Now this is a trend that anyone who fancies the gold and shiny can appreciate! However, while I love the idea of a floor length golden gown, where would I wear it? Instead, sport a gold sequined tank or a tee that features gold foil printing. While you're shopping, think Kirsten Dunst in "Marie Antoinette". If you love your basics, grab a comfy tee in a neutral tone and pair with all that is shiny! Indulge in necklaces, rings, and bangles that feature chunky gemstones (real or fake) set in gold. Finish with a gold belt or slippers (AKA flip flops). Be royal!

Fall Fashions For College

While the back to school season may be the last thing on your mind since summer has just started, it's never too early to start looking for ways to freshen up your wardrobe. Often the best deals on fall fashion can be found in the summer, so it's worth keeping an eye out for those cool coats and stylish boots even when the mercury is rising. Here are some back to school ideas and tips on how to score the hottest styles for the upcoming school year.
Tips for building a terrific back to school wardrobe
  • Shop out of season: Even in the summer you'll be able to find great clearance deals and sales for fall and winter, so always keep a lookout!
  • Scan for sales: Even if you don't normally shop in a particular store, it's worth stepping in if you see a sale sign. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you find. And there are tons of coupon codes even on the Internet, so keep an eye out for those!
  • Bring a friend: If you keep an open mind, your pals may spot something that you wouldn't usually pick up for yourself. This is especially good if you're looking to switch things up and revamp your wardrobe.
  • Pile it on: Clever layering will make summer clothes work for the fall and winter too! Vests, scarves, jackets and leggings can add warmth to tank tops, T-shirts and dresses.
Great back to school fashions for women
College is a great place to showcase your personal style, whether you're into skater chic or preppy blazers. But as any girl can attest, even if you're set in your fashion ways, it's a drag to have to pull out that sweater you've had for the past three years at the start of the school year and try to get a fresh back to school look out of it. So what are some of the hottest back to school outfits for women for the fall 2010/11 season, and where can you get them?

Military Fashion
The military trend is really big at the moment, but don't worry, it's not all about fatigues and camouflage, as this season is really about subtle military touches. A great way to add an army flourish is with a military jacket, such as the Angel Kiss Military Jacket, which is available from Sears.
Another simple way to spice up your back to school style is with aviator sunglasses, so check out the great selection at AC Lens.

Leggings
No longer just for the dance studio, you'll now see leggings everywhere, in all seasons. They're the perfect fall and winter accessory to get extra mileage out of your favorite leg-baring skirts and dresses, and some fashionistas have even taken to wearing leggings like pants. With tons of cute legging designs and styles now available, including denim, tie-dyed and capri, it's easy to dress up your back to school clothing.
Start with something basic like the Allison Brittney Legging pair it with a colorful tunic (Kmart has a really cute selection) for both comfort and style.

Back to school styles for men
While guys often have an easier time deciding what to wear, it's still helpful to keep a few back to school fashion essentials in mind to ensure you make a good impression in the back to school season (whether it's on your professor or that cute classmate).
Even if you're a casual jeans-and-t-shirt kind of dude, consider switching it up with a couple of more formal pieces, as they can not only be used for college but also for dates or job interviews.
Here are some ideas for both classic fall styles and the newer back to school trends for men for the fall 2010 season.

The striped shirt
The classic striped shirt is a really easy way to expand your back to school style, especially as you can find it at almost any store that sells menswear. Of course, it's a perfect dressy look that you can use for any formal occasion when you add a tie and dress pants.

But it's also very easy to incorporate into a more casual back to school outfit - simply wear it with jeans and with the sleeves rolled up if it's a long-sleeved shirt, or leave it completely unbuttoned over a plain white T-shirt or ribbed tank. The fashion-forward male can also opt to wear the striped shirt with a matching vest for an avant-garde look.
Try the Attention Men's Long Sleeve Striped & Embroidered Shirt from Kmart.com on for size - it's a great shirt that perfectly navigates the line between preppy and casual.

Tweed
Tweed is an awesome men's fall fashion trend for 2010 as the average guy won't have to worry about looking overly flashy when wearing tweed, plus it's also a very functional fabric that's durable and moisture resistant.

As with the striped shirt, you can wear tweed in a variety of ways - as a hat, like the Bailey of Hollywood Lord 25204 Black Tweed cap from Shoebuy.com, or as a jacket. As tweed is a warm fabric, it will also keep you toasty during the sometimes chilly back to school season.

For the more unconventional guy, these days tweed can also be found adding a hint of preppiness to sneakers and gloves. And anyone who's looking for a way to update the popular plaid look of the past few years will find tweed to be a subtle, yet trendy change.

Fall Fashion Trends and Ideas - Fall Fashion 2012

Fall 2011 is just around the corner, and now is a great time for women to consider adding some stylishly attractive wardrobe trends. You should not buy every trend that comes along, but you do want to take advantage of those that resonate with your image and brand to make you look and feel fantastic.
Here are a few new trends to keep an eye out for in department stores this fall:

1) It's a Wrap
Capes and ponchos are a fashionable layering option this autumn that gives you a striking alternative to jackets. Look for tweeds, plaids, and solid neutral fabrics in every length. But keep in mind that although it's a great look to wear it is important to pay attention to proportion. When wearing a cape or poncho, for example, you'll look fabulous if you pair it with a pair of skinny jeans or pants!

2) Bold Saturated Colors Reign
This season's bold, saturated colors rule with a rich and regal look. Strong colors like cobalt blue, ruby red, turquoise, and grape can give you that exquisite pop of color you need. We'll also see lots of beautiful mixing and matching of two-pieces in a similar color tone. I noticed, for instance, that Ann Curry - the co-anchor of the Today Show - wore a lovely blouse and pencil skirt in bold teal tones that were two different colors. They blended wonderfully with unmistakable elegance and style.

3) Stacked Heels
Reminiscent of the mod 70s, inspired styles of stacked heels will be available in every height of shoe from long boots to pumps to flats. Buy a pair this season and it will give you an instant update. Opt for a more modern stacked heel that feels comfortable for you but is also versatile enough to wear with your work wardrobe.

4) Long Skirts
Longer skirts seem to be one of the biggest trends this season, but to pull this look off you definitely need to wear a chunkier shoe. You will find pencil skirts, long draping, and asymmetrical and A-line styles. Be careful, though, because longer skirts can make you instantly appear heavier. Avoid wearing those that hit you at the mid-calf area unless they are paired with a long boot, for instance, because otherwise you'll appear shorter versus longer and thinner.

5) Chocolate Metal Tone Jewelry
Give your outfit that special finishing touch with this season's new chocolate metal tone jewelry. It's ideal to wear with plaids and tweeds and can be the perfect accent to pair with teal, camel, or brick red.

6) The Feminine Bow Blouse
For trendy autumn blouses this year it is all about drawing attention upward toward your face, which is your communication center. These beautiful blouses can also add some pizzazz near your neck, décolletage, or around your curvy waist. During the workday pair them with a great pencil skirt, or use them to update that classic suit. In the evening or on weekends they go great with dark denim and a leather jacket to give you an elegant twist with feminine flair.

7) The Skinny Jean/Pant
The skinny pant and jean is still in fashion this fall, and you'll see various lengths (Capri to ankle styles) and fabrications in an array of colors. To wear this skinny pant you must offset the slim proportions with higher volume on top, using capes, faux-fur vests, ponchos, or chunky sweaters for balance.

8 ) Sumptuous Leather If you love leather like I do then 2011 is your year. The new leather for fall is soft, supple, and elegant. You will find leather in everything - including A-line and pencil skirts, sheath dresses, winter shorts, leggings, and shirts. If you want to be more dramatic than traditional black or dark brown then try unique and different saturated colors like burgundy, tan, gingerbread, nude, or cognac.

9) The Heritage Jacket
Traditional jackets return this season to give us another stylish autumn layering alternative. These classically elegant but trendy jackets are best coupled with the skinny pant. Look for heritage jackets in an array of different styles and lengths and with all sorts of interesting detailing such as elbow patches, velvet trimmed collars, and grosgrain ribbon.

10) Faux Fur for Fall
This fall the only stylish animal to go hunting for is faux fur. You will find vests, jackets, and elegant coats in traditional animal prints. Wear these fun looks during the day to punch up your denim or skinny pant with style, or shop for a more glamorous piece to wear after five and enhance the look of a great black dress.

Fall 2012 - Fall Fashion Colors

The summer colors tended toward fun and bright turquoises, pinks, and greens. We are going to warm things up and tone down a bit with the fall selection. No matter what color names the designers give them, the trend this year is very much in the gold tones. Burgandy, rust, wine, camel, and dark chocolate brown.

However the two hot colors for fall are purple and green. The green is a continuation of the summer, but warmed up a bit with burnt olives, celeries, and a darker celadon. We expect green to be around for another season or so. The trend color of the season is purple and the warmer the purple the better.
The makeup industry very closely mirrors the trends of the fashion industry. The color palettes this fall are golds, peaches and plums. As with anything in color, remember to choose colors that are right for your skin tone.

So now that you know what the colors are for the season, how do you make them work for you? Here is the bad news. While green is the fashion color of the minute, it is one of the most difficult colors for most people to wear. You can quickly go from looking vibrant and on top of your game to looking sickly by just wearing the wrong color. Purple is a lot more forgiving so if you are not sure what colors work for you, steer away from green, try the purples and if all else fails, contact a color consultant.
Tip: Listen to what people are saying about how you look. Are they commenting on the clothes or are they saying that YOU look fabulous? Usually a few minor adjustments to style or color can make all the difference.

Fall 2012 - Fall Fashion Trends For Women

Fall 2012 Fashion Trends have already hit the run way. Here they are in random order:

1. FALL (IN LOVE WITH THE) COLORS
Finally! The acid bright days have died already. Time to channel your old western side and go rustic in your selection of colors (think of rust red, brown barks and camel tones, if you are still having difficulty, think of the colors of the fall!). Not only does this give you a more down to earth yet structured theme, it also prepares you for the coming chill ahead! (Fact: Warm and dark colors keep you warm better than lighter tones.)

3.  Gray is the new black
Gray is back in fashion. After a very long AWOL, the fashion industry has revived the love for the color gray to bring back a sense of sophistication and grounding that the runways have been missing. If you have been observing, 2011 has always been about the outrageous, sometimes eye-cringing outfits, 2012 seems to be calming down. Another off-shoot trend from this is that there is a boom for corporate-looking outfits and straight cut silhouettes.

3.  Texture, Texture, Texture
As the chill sweeps in, settle and snuggle in with your thick, warm, textured wardrobe in earth and autumn tones. Coats, skirts and tops are mostly looking thick or bulky in most Pre-Fall 2012 collections. However, this trend is a little bit tricky, specifically for the curvy types as it adds more volume. So make sure that you wear this trend to where you need to add a little thickness.

4. That's a LINE!
This is not only about the stripes. It is about straight lines that go across the body both horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Ladies rejoice! More ways for you to feel sexy as these lines accentuate curves. It can also help minimize or maximize any body part that needs it. This is also great for women who wishes to elongate their torsos!

5. PEEK-A-BOO! I SEE YOU LEGS!
We can never underestimate the power of a pair of legs that goes on forever - or even just great legs in general! This trend is a great award for the conservatives who want to add a little spice in their wardrobe. A small peek-a-boo from the slit will do you just fine. Flaunt your walkers and leave a little mystery with this season's trend of slits on the skirts.
